WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Mary, a Rush of Love
Begin today by walking with Mary: without hesitation, without delay, with an open heart.
"Who am I that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" (Lk 1:39–56).
Mary arrives carrying Jesus, and her presence awakens joy, faith, and praise. Ask Him to teach you to “visit” as well—to step outside of yourself, to draw near to others, to listen, and to bring comfort. May your day not revolve around consumption, but around care; may your home be more simple and open. Ask Him to place in your hands simple gestures such as sharing food, preventing what is useful from going to waste, and supporting those who are weary.
May your life sing with Him a Magnificat made of deeds. Amen.
WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Goods for the Hungry
This afternoon, present to the Father the world’s table: there is so much abundance, and yet, at the same time, so much need.
“The food available in the world today would be enough to end hunger for everyone,” Pope Francis said. Ask Him to make us responsible, that waste be cut down, that what is left over be shared, and that what is produced be cared for.
Commit to preparing only what is necessary and to setting aside the remainder, well preserved, so that it may feed others and not end up in the trash.
To conclude, recite the monthly prayer for May. Amen.
WITH JESUS IN THE NIGHT
Being a Visitor
In the stillness of the night reflect on your day with sincerity.
Thank Him for what you have received, for the bread, and for the people who accompanied you. In the light of the Gospel, ask yourself: Were you a “visitor” to someone, or did you shut yourself off in your own world? Did you take care of what was at hand, or did you let it go to waste through disorder or apathy?
Ask His forgiveness for your carelessness and ask Him to teach you to organize your life so you can share better. Remember those who went to bed without dinner today; sustain those who work to feed others.
Trusting in His mercy, conclude with the Our Father. Amen.
