On May 2, 2022, Maggie Lin ('22) and Kyle Chen ('22) were honored in a way that only 11 other high school seniors in Missouri were this year. You can read more about this significant feat here.
A hearty congratulations to Abigail Bridgeman '22, who as the only high school student invited to compete in the Mid-MO DataFest, sponsored by the American Statistical Association, at the University of Missouri, was on the team that won the highest award, “Best in Show,” against 72 undergraduate students, 57 of which were statistics/mathematics majors, from four universities.

When the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals announced the 27th Annual Missouri Scholars 100, 2% of it just happen to be Jarett Ren '21 and Shruti Gautam '21. Congratulations!

In other RBHS Math Team news, several members recently took the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) test. Those with a high enough score are invited to take the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME); RBHS is fortunate to have 1 or maybe 2 earn this honor annually.
This year, Ben Xu '22, Kyle Chen '22, Maggie Lin '22, and Shubha Gautam '24 all qualified for the AIME exam! This is the most AIME qualifiers in one year our school has had in Coach Kevin Taylor's tenure with the team.
RBHS Scholar Bowl has been on quite a tear this year, placing in the top 4 in 5 of 6 tournaments entered and winning the district championship. Placement in these tournaments has qualified them for two different national tournaments at the end of the school year. They are Evrim Agca '23, Yogev Angelovici '23, Brendan Dunne, Anish Ganga '23, Emma Howell, Brandon Kim, Maggie Lin, Arren Mallott '21, Kevin Mao '22, Rohan Rao '22, Jarett Ren '21, Max Wohlgemuth and Zihao Zhao '22. A hearty congratulations to Abigail Bridgeman '22, whom The US State Department has recently awarded an NSLI-Y scholarship to study Russian language and Moldovan culture this summer. There are few educational experiences that are as enriching as those that involve travel. Continued COVID cautions will confine Abigail's experience to the virtual world, but it is no less of an honor to be awarded.
