We have a two-prong approach to membership. As an organization under SBA, we are open to all NUSL students. As a Fraternity, there is a one time initiation fee to be considered a member. Students who have not paid the fee but are still active in the organization are referred to as "friendbers" to provide the requisite distinction but still acknowledge everyone who is involved, because everyone is welcome.
Friendbers can run and vote for Committee Chair and Chief of Staff positions, and attend meetings and plan events that are not Fraternity specific.
Members can run and vote for E-Board positions, and get access to Fraternity-specific benefits, like conferences, doing the Fraternity Mock Trial competition, access to the alumni network, scholarship and internship opportunities. To apply for membership, go to pad.org, fill out the online application, and pay the initiation fee: $90 for new members, or $70 if you were a pre-law member at your undergraduate college.
