Spring Season

Ultimate Frisbee at Eagle Staff MS in the Spring is a club sport and not an official Seattle Public Schools sport. DiscNW runs the league and volunteer coaches at Eagle Staff organize practices and coach the games.  Practices are once or twice a week. The club rents fields from Seattle Parks and Rec so our practice days and times vary according to when we can get field reservations. We do not have access to the Eagle Staff field most days after school. Games are usually each Saturday starting in early March through mid May.

• Tryouts for the Spring will be in late February.

• Eagle Staff plans to have 3-4 teams in the Spring (Varsity, JV, and JVC).

• We do not know yet if we will have cuts. It usually depend on the number of Gx players who sign up.

• Interest Forms will be available in January 2027.

• Players need to attend Eagle Staff Middle School. However, we might have room for a few "free agents" in accordance with the DiscNW free agent policy. Please note your school on the interest form. Free agents must go through the DiscNW application process.

• Because we are not an official SPS sport in the Spring, we do not require physical forms. After tryouts, we will ask families to register their player with DiscNW and sign the waivers. There is a fee to pay to DiscNW upon registration that is a sliding scale.

• In addition to the DiscNW fee, we ask each family that participates in the Spring to pay the Eagle Staff Ultimate Frisbee Club a $20-$40 player fee to cover our costs of fields, equipment, first aid supplies, etc. We will also raise funds for scholarships so families can waive this fee if needed. Partial or full scholarships are available.

Spring 2027 interest forms will be available in January 2027.
