Brief: I learned a lot about improving my photography skills, especially when it comes to taking portraits, while attending the Sony Alpha Fine Art Portraiture Workshop. Throughout the course, I picked out a few important portrait photography tips that I have listed down below ;
Composition techniques:
The importance of a well-thought-out composition in portrait photography was crucial during the workshop. I learned how to use negative space, the rule of thirds, and framing to create visually striking and well-balanced portraits.
Posing and Expression:
The workshop highlighted into the art of posing subjects and capturing real and genuine expressions. I learned how subtle changes in body language and facial expressions can significantly impact the narrative of a portrait, contributing to the storytelling aspect of the shoot.
Using Camera Settings:
Detailed instructions on camera settings, including ISO, shutter speed, and aperture, were given. I became an exprt at adjusting these settings to suit different shooting scenarios, guaranteeing my portrait shots have the best possible exposure and sharpness.

Learning how to create a narrative through visual storytelling was made possible by the thematic focus on catching a ghost bride. I discovered various ways to convery different emotions and feelings within a single frame.
