Every year, JROTC Instructors and Extended Content Teachers select exceptional Army JROTC cadets to serve as buddies for athletes at the Randolph County Special Olympics Track Meet. Cadets earn this honor by demonstrating high academic standing, outstanding conduct, and strong leadership capabilities.
Throughout the event, cadets help their paired athletes stretch before races, deliver energizing pep talks, assist athletes to their track and field events, and create colorful school encouragement posters together.
Cadets return from this impactful service with lasting memories and meaningful new friendships, and graduating seniors receive official recognition for their dedication to the Special Olympics community.
