Aavartan Studio Pottery is a space for self expression & experimentation, where Rakhee Kane, an accomplished ceramist lives & works quietly; Nestled amongst the nature, in the International township of Auroville in South India, it is a space that reflects her search for a unique identity in contemporary ceramics. Through her work with several processes such as wood fired high temperature, raku, unique terracotta, anagama, glaze resist, functional & sculptural pieces; Rakhee has created a small world of her own in this quaint studio space; Open to serious artists, art lovers and enthusiasts, she spends most of her time at studio, while travelling often around the world and India, sharing, exhibiting, teaching & curating, being part of the growing ceramist community in Contemporary Indian Art world.
