Hi I am Gracielx! I am a culture shifter and I am currently creating my own path to get paid well to dismantle systems of oppression, heal our bodies and our ancestral lineage of trauma and to co-create a well working and loving environment for our descendants. I do this by focusing on my realm of influence as a bodyworker and CEU educator. I created new unprecedented material CEU’s for massage therapists to learn about their biases and how to best show up for their trans, BIPOC, clients with disabilities and fat bodied clients. In finding my way to healing (yes referencing Prentis Hemphill’s brilliant work- a MAJOR inspiration of mine), suddenly my life path became so clear. We are a collective of trans and POC bodyworkers who offer healing for folks within our community. Our goal is to remind our clients of the tools they have within their own ancestral lineage and within their own body to show up with health and resiliency. We offer bodywork, with an emphasis on providing a space where folks from marginalized communities may receive affordable and accessible work, especially Transgender and BIPOC folks. We have received funding from the Trans Justice Funding Project to provide affordable and accessible massage for trans folks and we have private donors who believe in our mission who also offer funds. As educators, we specialize in Collective Liberation in bodywork, anti-oppression, ethics of diversity, and Thai Massage. We educate about working with marginalized communities that have until recently been left out of the curriculum for massage, such as Black, Indigenous and People of Color, Transgender clients, People with Disabilities and People with fat bodies. We are currently working on editing the textbooks and training educators to incorporate this work into the massage curriculum at a National Scale.
