Become a Mentor

Lift up your fellow BIPOC library workers by becoming a mentor! Mentors support their mentee through coaching, skill sharing, and relationship building. If you enjoy getting to know people and helping people accomplish their goals, this is a great place to start. Mentors will achieve personal growth throughout the process, too!

All of us have something valuable to offer - mentors do not have to be library staff who are in management or leadership positions.

Mentor application, Deadline: June 16th, 2025

All participants should read and use the Mentoring Guidelines prior to submitting their application.

Application Process:

STEP 1: Fill out an application form

STEP 2: You'll be contacted by a member of the RAILS BIPOC Mentorship Team to tie off any loose ends with your application and approve your mentor profile.

STEP 3: You will be matched with a mentee to reach out and discuss next steps!
