"Brave Like Gabe"
This group is named after Gabriele Grunewald, a truly inspirational middle distance runner from Minnesota (Perham High School, University of Minnesota) who just lost her battle with rare cancer in 2019. She is widely loved and will be remembered for her fierce determination, bright personality, and for all of her work to bring awareness to rare cancers, among many things. She raced throughout her treatments, including a 4th place finish at the US Olympic Trials after her second cancer diagnosis. More about her amazing life story is summarized here.
This is our main training group, written for moderate mileage runners. This is an outline, as coaches will be editing on a frequent basis: based on how the team is feeling, if we need more work in any one area, etc. [check this nearly daily! That's how often it can change]

This group is named after Billy Mills, the only American to win a gold medal in the 10,000 meters. His victory is considered one of the biggest upsets in Olympic history. A little more about his rise from poverty to 10k gold medalist is here. A video of his remarkable kick to win is here. The video is definitely worth the watch.
This is our high mileage training group, written for experienced runners who logged Summer mileage. This group generally follows the Joanie training plan, with edits based on how this group is responding to their training.
