The 3rd annual NHS XC Alumni meet will be held August 17th. Coaches are bringing back this tradition so all Raiders, young and old, can reconnect with one another and show their support for the current team. You don't have to run - although we would love it if you would! Just stop by to say "hi" and reconnect with coaches and team members ! After all, Cross Country teams are just one big family, aren't they? :)

MEET DETAILS:
The race tours the Carleton arb. Girls and boys will race 2 miles TOGETHER at 9am. Future Raiders races starting at approximately 9:45. Those races will be 100m-400m long and a 1/2 mile course.
After you have crossed the finish line for the 2 mile, you will stay in line through the chute until you get a paper number from a Finish Line Parent. You'll write your name on that paper along with your division (NHS XC girls, NHS XC boys, Alumni women, Alumni men, Townie women, Townie men).
The event should conclude around 10:30 after a short results/awards presentation. Awards from our friends at the Brick Oven Bakery.

RAIDER RUNNERS:
We will meet at Carleton behind the rec center at 8am. Make sure you have all of your gear and supplies with you at that time! For those of you that volunteered to help bring supplies from our cage, please talk with a coach on Friday to grab these things from our "cage".
Remember your uniform, shoes (we will race in our trainers for this!), and the food you are bringing to share! Seniors bring fruit, Juniors bring desserts, Sophomores bring drinks (water, juice, chocolate milk, cups), and Freshman, 8th and 7th graders bring bagels, granola bars, breads, or other healthy foods.
This race will partially decide our Varsity team for the Rosemount meet. Some athletes will not be racing because of prior school or family engagements, so coaches will use discretion to decide Rosemount's roster.

RAIDER PARENTS:
We hope you are able to attend! We really hope that you will consider running the 2 mile with the team. You do NOT need to be fast/be able to "race" - just able to run 2 miles with us.
If we can't convince you to run, we will just as happily have you cheering for your son/daughter and the team during the race. It might be a good idea to print out the course map below and plan to arrive around 8:00 or 8:30. Your son/daughter will likely still be preparing: warming up, stretching, going to the bathroom, etc. A quick wave and smile will let them know you are here & excited for them to compete!
--
TOWNIES:
Please come out to run & show your support for the XC team! The race is free, but if you would like to make a donation to the team, your dollars will be put to great use for things like: supplies (spikes, sports drinks, snacks), apparel, Decorah training trip fee waivers, among many other things!
