I am interested in exploring the subsurface, using geophysical techniques. Currently, my work includes determining the subsurface conductivity/resistivity profiles using DC resistivity method. We have developed numerical algorithms to model complex geological models involving inhomogeneities and rugged topography . The developed algorithm has shown remarkable stability with respect to highly distorted, non-orthogonal rough grids. DC resistivity technique has found vast applications in ground water mapping, mineral exploration, underground surveys etc.
