A Bad Connection & The Road

(Scroll Down)

8 Men, 4 women. The year is 1938. The Radio Suspense Theatre Ensemble has expanded their company and their mystery program has become popular across the United States. The crew is all atwitter about the fact that the famous radio and film personality, Winston Sayles, will be guest starring on the show just a year after his own radio drama, Invasion of the Aliens, caused a nation-wide panic. Standing romances are put on hold and friendships strain as the big night draws closer.

As the company awaits the arrival of their guest star, Sylvia plays the role of Hedda Hampton in the first mystery, A Bad Connection. Hedda's troubles are played out over the telephone as she tries to get through to her husband. Did she lock herself in her office that night or was it something more nefarious?

Guest star Winston Sayles arrives at the last second to play the role of a man who travels home after visiting his friend in an insane asylum. He ponders his own sanity as he meets some simple country types in what becomes a surreal road trip. Tune in to experience the Radio Suspense Theatre Ensemble's second episode, The Road.
