We offer:
Barium meal , which is a procedure that uses X-rays to capture a series of images of the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum (the first part of the small intestine). These X-ray images are taken after the patient drinks a liquid containing barium (a silver-white metallic compound). The barium coats and outlines the inner walls of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum, making them visible on the X-ray images. The images are then compiled into a short film, enhancing the visibility of the organs and allowing their motion to be observed while minimizing the patient's exposure to radiation (Cancer.gov, 2024).
BARIEM ENEMA
barium enema, also known as lower gastrointestinal tract radiography, is a fluoroscopy imaging test used to evaluate issues in the colon and rectum, which are parts of the large intestine. During the procedure, a healthcare provider introduces a safe liquid containing barium through a tube inserted into the anus. this liquid coat the interior of the large intestine, allowing its outline to be clearly visible on X-ray images (Rudd et al.,2012)
