Fosters are the lifeblood of our organization; without them, we could not save nearly as many dogs as we do. Here are some of the top reasons you should consider fostering with us.

You help us save more dogs

When you foster a dog, you allow us to help more dogs by allowing another intake slot to open up.

You can Prevent A Dog From Deteriorating in boarding

Without fosters dogs are sent to boarding. While this is better than being in a high-kill shelter where they are at risk of being euthanized every day, even the best behaved dogs can deteriorate mentally if kept in boarding for prolonged periods. This makes it even harder to get them adopted and often necessitates additional training. So by fostering, you allow potential adopters to see the dogs at their best.

You Can Increase a dog's chance of being adopted

As previously mentioned, by fostering you allow potential adopters to see dogs at their best. However, there are other ways you can increase a dog's chances of being adopted. For example, in foster care a dog has the opportunity to receive 1-on-1 care to address the areas they need help in, and you can act as a promoter for your foster dog by taking them out, allowing them to reach a wider pool of potential adopters.
