Q: I want to buy the game, how do I find the cheapest price?
Keep an eye on isthereanydeal.com/game/rfactorii/info/ and it should show the best current (historical lowest) price of rFactor 2, you can also wait for Steam Sales to make sure you buy to fit your budget.
Q: I want to display various things on stream for my viewers to see like positions, relative etc...
This can be achieved with the 3rd party HUDs above or you can use the customisable broadcast overlay as a browser source in your streaming software. I have had some experience using these overlays and in future I want to write some tips are tricks, stay tuned.
Q: Mods (cars/tracks)? Where do I get them and how to install them?
They can be FREE or paid DLC. The game comes with FREE cars and tracks on Steam workshop (Anthology collection, Premium Collection).
Paid DLC can be found in the "in game store", adding items to your basket the game should offer the best price for items you select. Remember you can also wait for Steam Sales. Not all DLC is guaranteed to be in a sale and it's usually packs on sale and not individual items. Packs are just collections of cars/tracks and not the equivalent of a "season pass". You do not receive extra content if these packs are changed. Contents of these packs are subject to change.
Free mods can be found as *.rfcmp files on many websites or more easily on Steam Workshop.
Check out my guide on how to install these mods.
Q: I want to paint a car, how do I do it?
There is an official guide on how to paint your car, adjusting materials etc...
I have created a Custom Skins guide to help you.
Q: How do I make the AI a little better at racing at a particular track?
You don't need to do any of the AI Learning if the AI are just fine at a track, more often than not it's 3rd party Tracks that need it or if a particular Mod has difficulty in a corner or section of a track that you're racing at. See this step by step guide.
