This paper was for Dr. Vogel's Intercultural Communication course, and it explores how to navigate communication skills across various cultural differences while visiting an imaginary "Hypothetical Land". Throughout the paper, I examined key intercultural communication concepts such as ethnocentrism, cultural relativism, uncertainty avoidance, nonverbals, the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, and cultural competence to better understand how to respectfully interact within a culture that differs significantly from my own. 

This paper satisfies the Communication Studies program outcome of Communicating to Create and Support Diverse and Equitable Communities, as it required me to challenge myself on how to adapt my communication to other cultures while avoiding ethnocentric assumptions and recognizing cultural differences. This project and course strengthened my ability to communicate thoughtfully and respectfully across cultural boundaries to support equitable interactions.
