West Islip School District partners with Mission Be, a mindfulness program that teaches mindfulness-based social and emotional learning to help students thrive academically and beyond. Mission Be’s Mindfulness Program brings eight weekly lessons taught by trained mindful educators, into the classroom. Children learn essential mindfulness skills to reduce stress, improve attention and improve emotional intelligence.
