Terms of Service for Quest App

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Quest ("Quest," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the application. Quest is a personal accountability system designed to help users track their gaming backlog and play sessions.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of Quest, you must create an account.

• You must provide accurate and complete information.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

• You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use this app.

3. Free Tier and Quest Pro (Subscriptions & Purchases)

Quest offers both a free tier and a premium subscription ("Quest Pro") which unlocks additional features such as unlimited active quests and advanced player stats.

A. Payment Processing & RevenueCat We use RevenueCat to manage our in-app subscriptions. However, all payments are processed entirely by the app store from which you downloaded the app (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not collect, process, or store your credit card or billing information.

B. Auto-Renewing Subscriptions If you purchase a Quest Pro subscription, payment will be charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

C. Cancellations and Refunds You can manage or cancel your Quest Pro subscription at any time by going to your device's Account Settings (Apple ID or Google Play settings) after purchase. Because payments are handled by Apple and Google, we cannot directly process refunds. All refund requests must be directed to the respective app store's customer support. Deleting your Quest account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel your subscription.

4. User-Generated Content and Conduct

Quest allows you to upload profile pictures, write custom game notes, and interact with friends via an ambient social feed.

• Acceptable Use: You agree not to upload or share content that is illegal, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

• Right to Remove: We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review, modify, or remove any user content that violates these Terms, and to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in prohibited conduct.

5. Third-Party Services and Data

Quest utilizes third-party APIs, specifically the IGDB/Twitch API, to fetch game artwork and metadata.

• Accuracy: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the game data provided by IGDB.

• Ownership: Game titles, artwork, and metadata remain the property of their respective publishers and copyright holders. Quest claims no ownership over these assets.

6. Intellectual Property

The Quest app, including its original code, design, architecture, and "ambient social" concepts, are the intellectual property of Intentional Code. You may not modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Quest app without our explicit written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Quest is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the app's uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or reliability. While we strive to ensure your data and streaks are saved accurately, we are not liable for any lost session data or tracking errors.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Intentional Code shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document or via an in-app notification. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
