Rainbow Auckland is New Zealand's largest LGBTQI+ membership organisation and provide a fun, social environment where professionals, and the community can get together for networking and to make friends.
We offer networking to individuals in the community, community organisations, LGBTQI+ friendly businesses, and students.
Our charitable arm, The Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust, raises tens of thousands of dollars every year to support LGBTQI+ causes every year.

An independent non-denominational church that welcomes all and especially those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgendered, or transvestite, their families and their friends.
We are a friendly mixed community based choir welcoming anyone who wishes to sing.
Our emphasis is on participation, inclusiveness and building our LGBTIQ community. The choir is in good health with nearly 60 members.
We sing for enjoyment and work hard to create wonderful music. We sing anything we enjoy including pop, classical, spirituals, world, choral, musical and jazz classics.
Rehearsals are weekly on Thursday evenings from 6.30 — 8.30 pm. If you would like to join us, or know someone who might, please email membership@glamaphones.org.nz
Polari-Fantabulosa! is run in the style of a monthly afterwork/afterstudy/after-whatever-you've-been-up-to drinks group. It's an inclusive informal event for the queer/trans* community, and everyone is welcome. About 40 - 50 people turn up during the evening. We go to a different bar each month - these are promoted through individual event pages. The drinks start around 5.30pm and go to about 9pm. If you're new to Polari and don't know anyone ask for Paula who will introduce you to some folk. If you're looking for other social events check out http://www.meetup.com/freshfruit/
Human Connections
We work to facilitate authentic human connections and build safe spaces to strengthen our LGBTQ+ communities.
We do this by:
1. Providing a platform for individuals to find and connect with each other in their daily lives.
2. Providing and facilitating platforms for individuals to share events and activities in order to connect.
3. Partnering with businesses and organisations to train and provide safe spaces for lgbtq+ individuals.
4. Supporting individuals for positive mental and physical well-being.
Why:
Our society and planet is evolving and so, too, is our LGBTQ+ community. Our community is getting better representation and equality within New Zealand and, with the rise of social media, it has been easier than ever to be able to find and connect with others online.
However, finding and connecting with each other in person can be just as difficult as it has always been. Our community is integrated with the rest of society and, because of the size of our population, our specific lgbtq+ safe spaces are few and far between; limited to lgbtq+ bars and dating apps.
This cannot sustain us.
We are in all areas and walks of life with a wide range of interests and activities.
We must adapt.
LGBTQ+ individuals have some of the highest rates of isolation, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, and suicide in the country compared to other Kiwis. We need new methods of tackling this to have healthy lives, further social acceptance, and to support one another in order thrive. No matter what part of the country you live in.
We are evolving.
We are innovating.
And we will thrive.
