Pinal County BOS Special Meeting: Friday 2/6/2026
The board met with their counsel and voted unanimously to refer the Brad Miller MOU with ICE to AG Kris Mayes. Link to the meeting is here: https://pinalcountyaz.new.swagit.com/videos/374413
Pinal County BOS Meeting: Wednesday 2/4/2026
Multiple community members spoke up against 287(g). The good news is that the BOS seems to be listening. They are seriously consulting with counsel and although this has a huge effect on their decision-making process, it appears that the respectful participation of our Indivisible group and other members of our Pinal County coalition is effective (People First Project, The Lighthouse Group, RAZE, and many others)
After consulting their attorney again, they determined they would take action against Brad Miller.
There are some serious funds going into improving roads in Pinal County. They are also joining a grant program (from the Federal Government) to look at the Hunt Hwy corridor to see if it's feasible (economically and ecologically) to make Hunt Hwy a continuous road to improve road congestion.
There have also been actions at the last two meetings to provide information about trail systems access and 5G internet access, particularly in rural areas.
STV Town Council Meeting: 1/Pinal County Board of Supervisors' emergency meeting: Friday, January 30. Town Council meeting Schedule (not updated yet, but there are quite a few legislative updates. There are also concerns about an apartment complex going in on the corner of Gary and Skyline that will increase congestion, does not have a park, and does not have parking for guests at the complex.
Pinal County Board of Supervisors' meeting: January 21.
The board of supervisors consulted their attorney group (twice) and determined that the 287(g) agreement with Brad Miller was not legal. Brad Miller responded later stating that he did not agree.
