Kindergarten Quarantine Activities
Social distancing and isolation is often a cause for a low mental state especially for young children. Often, especially now, kids have a difficult time keeping themselves engaged and in the process of looking for something to engage in may often end up making an environment where it’s hard for parents and siblings to concentrate, especially those that work at home. Kindergarten is a grade where most of the year is based on trying to get the kids to properly communicate and that time of dialogue is taken away from them now. This website was made for a Silver Award Project for Girl Scouts. A Silver Award Project is a community service project that needs to be sustainable. Our project was to host Google Meets during the COVID-19 outbreak to keep kids at the kindergarten age occupied. During the outbreak, schools were closed in order to flatten the curve of growing coronavirus On this website we are posting recordings of lessons that we held for the kids to teach them. It also includes the recordings of us reading books to them. We have included websites that kids can go on and activities they can do to continue their learning adventure.
To occupy kids during uncertain times that can be very boring for kids in the younger ages.
To show kids that learning can be very interesting and isn't always boring.
To help the parents who are working at home (and their siblings!) by keeping their children busy and productive.
To teach kids how to adapt to dificult situations.
Help flatten the curve!
