Here are a few hints and tips to help with recording the exercises on a mobile phone or tablet.
If using a handheld device, like a phone camera or tablet, please avoid using portrait mode (i.e. positioning the camera vertically). Instead use landscape mode (i.e. positioning the camera horizontally).
Hold the device as steady as possible; do not tilt it, and hold it at a distance from the you so as to capture your full body at all times (including head and feet/toes). It is better for the camera to remain stationary rather than move the camera to follow the movements.
Avoid complete side-views or complete front views. It's best to position the camera diagonally (neither completely sideways nor front-facing). Please try to not let the chair cover too much of the body.
Try to keep the particpant's arms away from the rest of the body e.g. by holding onto a chair or supportive surface. This will prevent the arms interfering with the measurement of movement of the body and legs.Â
