Venue
The conference will be hosted in the Huxley Building on the University of Brighton Moulsecoomb campus, located close to Brighton city centre. The conference will take place in Huxley Building 300 and the immediately surrounding areas.
Getting to Brighton
Delegates are requested to consider the impact of their travel on the environment and where possible choose low carbon options.
The city, situated on the south coast, is highly accessible, with Gatwick airport only 30 minutes by train, and London only one hour by train. The ports of Newhaven (~15-30 minutes train/car/bus) and Portsmouth (~1hr 30 minutes train/car/bus) are also close by.
For those choosing to drive, Brighton is easily accessible via the M27/A27 (from the west), the M23/A23 (from the north) and the M20/M23 (from the East).
Travel within Brighton and to the conference venue
The University of Brighton Moulsecoomb campus is a 30-40 minute walk along the Lewes Road from the city centre.
Buses (numbers 25, 28, 29) stop at the University of Brighton bus stop. These can be caught from the Old Steine bus stop (located outside the Royal Pavilion near the seafront) and other stops along the Lewes Road. The journey from the seafront to the University of Brighton bus stop takes about 10-15 minutes, traffic dependent.
Moulsecoomb railway station is approximately 100m from the Huxley Building and can be reached from Brighton station. Trains from Brighton station to Lewes, Seaford, Eastbourne, Hastings and Ore stop at Moulsecoomb station and take less than 10 minutes.
Parking Procedure & E-Permits
If driving to the venue, before delegates arrive they need to apply for an E-Permit, to apply for an E-Permit they need to complete this online form. When delegates arrive on the day of the event, they pay £2 per day (Mon – Fri) via the payment machines on campus on the day of attendance.
