Deadline for Performing Entries August 24, 2026
Thinking about entering Queen's Prize Tourney as a performance or bardic entry. You're in the right spot! Just click on the red box and you'll be sent to the registration page.
Why a deadline? To give the Wranglers time to organize the performance schedule and find appropriate discussion panelists if you want it. We can also arrange private performances with just your discussion panelists if you are not wanting to perform for the general populace.
How long can the performances be? We are following the idea from open mikes and are looking at rigid 15 minute limit. So you can perform a long piece or 2 to 3 songs as long as it is less than 15 minutes. Then the next 15 minutes is for your discussion with your panelist (if you want). So performances will be on the hour and the 1/2 hour.
Do I have to perform for the general populace/audience? No if you don't want to. If you want to do a private performance we will arrange for a separate location and will not put you on the formal schedule posted outside of Tiger's Rest.
What kind of performances are allowed? General populace performances need to be all ages appropriate. We would love to see music (vocal, instrumental), dance, theatre, juggling and even conjuring (magic). Period, SCA inspired, non-period, improv and anything that would entertain the populace or an audience.
Can I show up like a squires tourney the day of? No - this is too difficult to manage. Both performance entry with populace audience or private with your discussion panelists need to have scheduling because of our available space. You will need to have your sponsor have a participation gift for you or help them get one.
I love participating in the provost tourney or have an A&S class I want to take. Can I still participate?
Absolutely! Indicate this on the form or contact Dame Arwyn.
Can I sponsor and participate? Laurels can only sponsor. Our Grant A&S people can both sponsor and participate.
How do I find a sponsor? Just fill out on the form "Need One". Her Grace A'isha has volunteered to be matchmaker. Take a look at these lists:
