Mental Health & Wellbeing Month

April

This month we decided to look at Mental Health and Wellbeing to ensure students have access to the information they need to adequately prepare for the upcoming exams. On this page we've provided information to essential readings, facts about our Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) team within Student Services, and other useful resources.

Essential Reading

Mental Health and Wellbeing is an essential part of the Library collection at Queen Mary University of London. We have several-hundred books in the Wellbeing Collection that aim to help students better understand and manage their mental health and wellbeing. Information about this collection can be found via the main Library website here.

Good to Know

We have 15 Mental Health First Aiders within the Student Services team who are on-hand Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 20:00 hrs to assist students with any of their needs.

If you are experiencing a crisis ask to speak to one via the Welcome Desk in the Library.

If your needs are not immediate or life threatening we would advise you to book an appointment with the Advice and Counselling Service. More information can be found here

Useful Resources

We recommend the following websites for information about Mental Health and where to get help :

  • Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies to help those students living in the Borough with their mental health. Information can be found here
