Internship or student trainee positions
We welcome undergraduate students to join us for their internship through the Summer Student Research Program sponsored by Institute of Physics, AS. This program aims to provide undergraduate students with a unique opportunity to work alongside physicists, contribute to ongoing projects, and immerse themselves in the world of advanced research. The standard stipend during the internship period (July - August) is NT$ 20,000 per month.
Given the limited availability of funded positions, applicants must meet the following criteria:
(a) Candidates must ensure their interests, experience, and skills in programming or calculations align with our research, and that the internship in our group will be their TOP priority.
(b) Candidates must have completed full undergraduate courses in quantum mechanics before starting the internship.
(c) Selected interns should be open to continuing with their project(s) after the conclusion of the Summer Student Research Program. Pending satisfactory performance during the internship, stipends ranging from NT$ 6,000 to $ 10,000 per month will be available after August.
(d) Selected interns should be able to work with other group members.
(e) Preference will be given to those who aim to have a career in academia. "Maybe I will stay in academia" is not sufficient.
For students who meet these criteria and are interested in this opportunity, further details can be found at https://www.phys.sinica.edu.tw/~summer/.
Applications are typically accepted from March to April each year. Before initiating the online application process, applicants must first email to chenhsuan_[at]_as.edu.tw between March 15th and the application deadline (April 25th for the 2025 application).
