Our goal as educators is to prepare students for the lives they will lead after they leave our doors. We want to provide them with the skills, habits, and behaviors they will need be successful in school, workplace, and society. AVID provides best practice teaching strategies that we can utilize to help equip our students with these tools to be ready for for their futures.

AVID Elementary is designed to be integrated into daily routines and curriculum with a focus on what is developmentally appropriate with different resources for different grade levels.
AVID Elementary is focused on WICOR strategies that support student engagement in learning and is a metacognitive methodology that promotes consistency in best teaching practices.
The AVID Elective is a sequence of courses for students in grades 6–12. WICOR strategies are used to engage students and scaffold instruction to make challenging core content coursework accessible while providing support structures in the AVID Elective class. AVID Elective students are also exposed to transferable skills that they will utilize in their lives that go beyond classroom content to help develop them into well rounded citizens.
