Verification is the process your school uses to confirm that the data reported on your FAFSA form is accurate.
If you're selected for verification, your school will request additional documentation that supports the information you reported. Don't assume you're being accused of doing anything wrong! Verification is a random process.
Once you are selected, you will need to submit certain documents to your college’s Financial Aid office before you can be considered for federal aid.
If you are selected, you will also need to complete verification before you can be considered for the ASAP Scholarship.
Verification Worksheet (collects household information or identity information)
