Retrieving back plastic wastes for conversion to value added petrochemicals: opportunities, challenges and outlooks

Our latest article published in Applied Energy (IF: 11.2) on ‘Retrieving back plastic wastes for conversion to value added petrochemicals: opportunities, challenges and outlooks’.

The review highlights the technologies, opportunities, challenges and outlooks of retrieving back plastic wastes for conversion to value added petrochemicals. It is envisioned that this review would overcomes the knowledge gaps on conversion technologies and further contribute in emerging sustainable approaches for exploiting plastic wastes for value-added products.

Hope you find it a good read and can help to share and Raise the Awareness. Thank you very much!

PFAS pollution threatens ecosystems worldwide

Our latest article published in Science (IF: 63.71) on ‘PFAS pollution threatens ecosystems worldwide’.

It highlights the effect of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) to the ecosystems. The current situation of PFAS was discussed and prevention was suggested avoiding PFAS contamination. Hope you find it a good read and can help to share and Raise the Awareness. Thank you very much!

Denmark passes total ban of leaded ammunition

Our latest article published in Science (IF: 63.71) on ‘Denmark passes total ban of leaded ammunition’.

It highlights the effect of lead poisoning to the world. Denmark is the first country to enact a total ban on leaded ammunition, and this action should serve as a model for other countries to restrict or ban on leaded ammunition. Hope you find it a good read and can help to share and Raise the Awareness. Thank you very much!

Irrawaddy dolphins continue to decline

Our latest article published in Science (IF: 47.7) on ‘Irrawaddy dolphins continue to decline’.

It highlights the importance of conserving Indo-West Pacific Irrawaddy dolphin (Orcaella brevirostris). Gillnet fishing and dam building are among the main threats to these river dolphin subpopulations. The governments of Cambodia, Indonesia, and Myanmar must act immediately to implement the UN Environment Programme’s Convention on Migratory Species Action Plan for the Conservation of Freshwater Populations of Irrawaddy Dolphins to designate protected areas where gillnet fishing is banned. Assessments of the species’ status should use satellite telemetry to map its home range. Local fishermen outside designated refuges in all three river subpopulations should use acoustical deterrents and reflective nets to reduce dolphin bycatch.

Hope you find it a good read and can help to share and Raise the Awareness. Thank you very much!

Ancient oaks of Europe are archives — protect them

Our latest article published in Nature (IF: 42.8) on ‘Ancient oaks of Europe are archives — protect them’.

It highlights the importance of protecting oak trees that are more than 1,000 years old to understanding climate change and ecosystem dynamics. Otherwise, unsustainable management practices, deforestation, air pollution and climate change could leave these trees vulnerable to disease and extinction.

Hope you find it a good read and can help to share and Raise the Awareness. Thank you very much!

European eel population at risk of collapse

Our latest article published in Science (IF: 41.8) on ‘European eel population at risk of collapse’.

It highlights the need of more measures to ban or restrict the quotas on fishing and harvesting this species.  Conserving this species will help to meet Sustainable Development Goal 14, Life below Water.

Hope you find it a good read and can help to share and Raise the Awareness. Thank you very much!

Machine learning technology in biodiesel research: A review

Published in Progress in Energy and Combustion Science (IF: 28.938) - A most respectable journal I hope to publish manuscript in my career! Another key milestone achieved!

Thanks a lot to Prof. Dr. Meisam Tabatabaei, Prof. Dr. Mortaza Aghbashlo, and the team members for working together towards the publication of this amazing piece!

It’s a comprehensive joint review article on the use of machine learning technology in biodiesel research. The pros and cons of the use of machine learning methods in biodiesel research are outlined, and machine learning technology has the potential to monitor/control biodiesel systems in real-time.

Please feel free to have a look at the review and hope the review is useful for your reference. Thank you very much!
