Using our creative design process, create a mixed media (drawing, painting, printmaking and collage) expressive symbolic portrait that deeply considers how the theme “Pathways to Positive Change” is connected to your chosen PYPx aea of focus.
Take inspiration from your chosen artists and be sure to remix their ideas, styles and techniques to create something that is uniquely expressive.
It is essential to use Line, Shape, Color, Texture and Object symbolism in your completed artwork.

Add finer and finer details to enhance the symbolism and visual interest of your final portrait.
Create a detailed coloured sketch of your masterpiece

Record action feedback that you received from others
Reccord changes that you plan to make
1 Describe: form, media, subject matter, important elements
2 Deconstruct: Analyze + Interpret
Analyze = Highlight the Art principles and elements, symbols that you really want the viewer to know more about
Interpret = Explain how mood, message and meaning are communicated through the use of lines, shapes, colors, symbols and any other important elements in your work.
4 Reflect: Refer to aspects of the Studio Habits of Mind to talk about how your PROCESS + ARTWORK are successful and how it connects to your life and who you are.

Create a 1/2 page sketch and use color pencils to work out where you'll add your3 colors. Remember it's more about VALUE than color!
Download your preferred shop front
Use the 'preview' app to reduce the color saturation to 0%.
Choose the direction you want the front of the shop to face (east or west)
Add your horizon + VP1 + VP2 and your initial vertical line to mark the corner of the building.
Commence adding key lines in two point perspective.
Erase any unnecessary lines and shade all surfaces that face away from the light source
