• What is a Playlist?
  • A Playlist is a m3u or m3u8 file that points to one or more streams (channels).
• What m3u tags are supported?
  • Look here for a complete list.
• My xmltv categories does not show up in the genre list, what should I do?
  • Since xmltv is an open format, the category is a free text field that can contain any string. This makes it hard to map against the genres in Live Channels. See here how you can map your categories.
• Does recording and timeshift work for all my streams?
  • Unfortunately no. Some m3u8/hls streams does not have recording and timeshift support. This will be added soon.
• Does recording work on all Android TV devices?
  • Yes and no. Recording works on all devices, but some device manufacturers don't support sleep mode when the device is turned off (at least some Philips Android TV devices are like this). This means they cannot wake up to perform the recording when needed.
  • Some devices (mostly TV's) don't support recording from epg. In that case scheduling is made from on-screen controls clicking Recordings & Schedules.
• Is series recording supported?
  • Yes! For best result, make sure epg contains season and episode information. See here.
• What storage locations are supported for recording?
  • Internal storage or connected usb storage device - such as thumbdrive or hdd - with 8GB+ total storage are supported.
  • External storage must be formatted as "movable storage".

• Why is my recording interrupted and showing File to large in description?
  • A device formatted as FAT32 can only store files up to 4GB. To be able to store files bigger than that the device must be formatted in another format, like exfat/ext4. Make sure the format is supported by your device.
• When I click PVR Live icon I don't see my channels, epg etc. What is wrong?
  • PVR Live is a Live Channels application which means you must click the blue Live Channels icon to start watching live TV.
