FAQ

• I get "Connection Error" while trying to connect to my TvHeadend server?

  • Most common issue here is that the default port is not set correctly. PVR Live uses json api and not HTSP protocol to communicate with TvHeadend server. Json api has default port of 9981 and not 9982 which is the default port for HTSP protocol.

• I get error 401 when trying to connect?

  • This indicates an authentication issue - make sure your username and password are correct

  • Tvheadend 4.3 changed authentication type to Digest which is only supported from PVR Live 2.0.0 and later. If you are using a previous version make sure authentication type is set to Plain (or Both).

• Is server side timeshift supported?

  • No. PVR Live uses the TvHeadend json api where server side timeshift is currently not supported. Note that timeshift is still available, but client side using internal storage ur usb/external storage.
