What We Do & Who We Serve

The Putnam Valley Parent Teacher Association supports students in grades K-8 in both Putnam Valley Elementary School and Putnam Valley Middle School. The PV PTA provides grade-level events, school pictures, elementary school yearbooks, Arts in Education events (including field trips!), Scholastic book fairs at both schools, One Book One School reading initiative, 3 for Me volunteering, 4th Grade Moving Up Ceremony Breakfast, guest speakers, middle school BBQ, Red Ribbon Week events, class parents program, teacher/staff appreciation luncheons, and fundraising events such as West Point Hockey Games and Renegades Baseball games!

Please consider becoming a PV PTA member! Membership is $10 a year and goes toward providing exciting events, learning experiences, and books to our students. PTA members get discounted prices on PTA-sponsored events!

PTA Mission

The direction of the PTA, as shown through its activities, programs, and stated positions, is guided by the PTA Mission.

The Mission of the PTA is Threefold:

-To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.

-To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.

- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools.

Putnam Valley PTA is a 5018 tax-deductible charity.
