INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION
The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (OVPSAS) is responsible for managing and supervising the provision of non-academic services to students through the different units under the sector. The services may include admission, registration, and graduation services as well as other support services for holistic development and welfare of students as individuals and as members and leaders of their organizations.
OVPSAS is committed to enrich the potentials of its clientele, the students and alumni. It continues to improve the methods and strategies in providing quality learning experiences and frontline services in an environment that fosters synergy and innovations.
The frontline services such as admission, registration and student record services are continually kept abreast with standards and technological innovation to improve their responsiveness to the changing and diversifying needs of the students, industries and other external clients.
Welfare programs and services ensure and promote well-being. These are the scholarship and financial assistance, health service, guidance and counseling services, food service, alumni services, career and placement services, safety and security services, student discipline, and housing.
The student affairs and development programs include student leadership training programs, support to student organizations and activities, student publication, student council/government, sports development, cultural programs, multi-faith services and social and community involvement.
OVPSAS coordinates with different units of the University in providing the different services. The units include the Office of the President - Safety and Security Office; Office of the Executive Vice President - Information and Communication Technology Office; Office of the Vice President for Administration - Medical Services Department, University Canteen Services, and Hasmin Hostel Services.
