PUP: The National Polytechnic University

Mission

Relevant and reflective of the mandate of the University to democratize access to educational opportunities and to serve as the avenue of knowledge in the countryside, PUP Mulanay commits to:

• seek constant, continuous and innovative approach for country development;

• promote social awareness relevant to the people’s socio-economic and cultural transformation;

• prepare and develop every member of the academic community to be truly productive and self-reliant citizens necessary in nation-building; and

• upgrade the moral values of its academic, non-academic personnel and students in the quest for national transformation and renewal in order to achieve a nationalistic education in the third millennium.

Goals

PUP Mulanay, Quezon Branch is guided by the shared commitment of the whole system towards the attainment of the FOUR (4) GOALS of higher education namely;

• QUALITY AND EXCELLENCE. Provision of undergraduate education for global competitiveness.

• RELEVANCE AND RESPONSIVENESS. Offering of course that are relevant and responsive to the needs of the community where the branch is located.

• ACCESS AND EQUITY. Catering quality but affordable education to poor but deserving students of the area.

• EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS. Optimizing social, institutional, and individual return from utilization of higher education resources.

Objectives

The Branch shall aim to:

• contribute to the manpower development of the CALABARZON;

• produce graduates in agricultural entrepreneurship to utilize the resources in the area for production and development;

• supply the demand for teachers and educators in basic and technical-vocational education;

• provide technical know-how in information and communication technology necessary in office administration and management; and

• inculcate PUP's shared values of God-fearing, love for humanity and democracy, collegiality, integrity and credibility, transparency and accountability, passion for learning; and humanist internationalism.
