PUP's Eight Point Agenda
Clearing the paths while laying new foundations to transform PUP into an Epistemic Community was the vision of then-President Emanuel C. De Guzman. This visionary leader was guided by his Eight-Point Agenda. Accordingly, the IDP was revised during the term of President Manuel M. Muhi covering 2020-2024.
The 10-Pillar Agenda
Dr. Manuel M. Muhi's dynamic and strategic leadership as the 13th President of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines puts a premium on his priority programs backed with 10-pillar agenda. He aims to reposition the institution as a re-engineered polytechnic university that empowers academic and administrative leaders, promotes lifelong learning opportunities, creates a productive environment through state-of-the-art facilities, and enhances the university's learning management system.
The PUP Sustainability Policy
As the world's countries progress toward meeting the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the significance of higher education institutions (HEIs) as drivers and enablers of sustainability has expanded. Higher education institutions have an essential role in sustainability. Higher education (HE) plays an important, multi-faceted role in the new global development agenda, which strives to eradicate poverty while addressing social needs such as education, health, social protection, job opportunities, climate change, food security, and environmental protection. The Polytechnic University of the Philippines takes full responsibility by implementing its Sustainability Policy as a manifestation of ecological conservation. This Policy is considered in all aspects of the university’s operation.
