Executive Board
The Executive Board shall consist of elected PTO officers:
President
Vice President of Fundraising
Vice President of Events and Programs
Vice President of Communication
Treasurer
Secretary

The term of office will be for one academic school year beginning August 1st and ending July 31st of the following year. A person may not serve as the same board position for longer than 2 years.
The president shall conduct the meetings for both the general membership and executive board, be a designated check signer for bank account, review financial records, serve as the official representative of the Hernandez Elementary PTO, and keep a copy of and maintain all official records for the PTO. Shall assist in the presidential duties and chair meetings in the absence of the president. Be on the bank account, signer of checks and review financial records. Keep organized records of funds earned and the related flyers, communications with volunteers, parents, and staff for fundraisers.

Oversee PTO sponsored clubs and any events the PTO will be involved in.
Shall assist in the presidential duties and chair meetings in the absence of the president. Oversee social media communications, help with newsletters, flyers, coordinating and communicating with volunteers, parents, and staff.
Shall keep an accurate report of the expenditures and receipts, he/she will present a financial statement at every meeting and when requested by the executive board. They shall make a full report at the end of the school year and be a possible second signature on the checks written by the Hernandez Elementary PTO. They will submit a monthly statement of bank transactions monthly to the principal and if requested the PTO board. This can be a bank statement mailed to the school from the bank. If the money is lost or stolen while in the hands of the treasurer, he/she will present details to the executive board and a decision will be reached on appropriate action, including possible reimbursement responsibility.
Shall record minutes at each meeting, prepare them, send to the president for review within one week following the meeting, and keep a copy of the minutes book. Minutes shall also be sent to the other board members for review one week prior to the next meeting. Shall maintain and respond to the PTO email box.
Board members shall not solicit within the association for business ventures, fundraising campaigns, or political or religious causes. Board members shall not accept on behalf of the association any contribution, gift, or bequest with the express or implied purpose of supporting such causes.
