Captain Hugh Fletcher Silverwood of 'D' Company, was killed in action on the 27th March 1917, aged 24, during the First Battle of Gaza. He is remembered on the Jerusalem Memorial. Hugh was the son of George Henry Silverwood, M.A., J.P., and Lucy Silverwood, of Carlton, Grays, Essex. LL.B. His brother Charles Woodward Silverwood also served with the 6th Essex Regiment.

Private William James Strange Stapleton (276546) died while he was a Prisoner of War 13th September 1917. He is buried in the Baghdad (North Gate) War Cemetery, Iraq.
Lieutenant Leslie Gerald Stenning died on the 1st September 1915 from his wounds he sustained at Gallipoli and from dysentery aged 21. Leslie died on board the hospital ship Soudan, only three days sail away from England. His body was transferred to the military hospital at Devonport and brought to Seven Kings. He is buried in Ilford (Buckingham Road) Cemetery, England. Leslie was the son of Henry and Selina Stenning, of 16, Norfolk Rd., Seven Kings, Ilford. His brother Sidney Nelson Stenning also fell.
