Corporal James Henry Nelson (1481) was killed in action on the 14th September 1915, on Gallipoli. He was buried in the 7th Field Ambulance Cemetery, Turkey.
Lance Corporal Horace Samuel Newman (1919) was killed in action on the 22nd August 1915, aged 38, on Gallipoli. Horace was the son of the late Thomas James Newman (b.1845 d.1898) and Elizabeth Wright (b.1847 d.1903). He had an elder brother Francis and and younger sister Kate. In 1899 William married Rosa Chapman, of 105, Woodlands Rd., Ilford, Essex. In 1911 he was a postman, living at 73 Brichdale Rd, Forest Gate with his wife and mother. William is remembered on the Helles Memorial.
Private George Thomas James Noakes (5173, 275843) died of his wounds on the 22nd April 1917. He was buried in the Deir El Belah War Cemetery, Israel. George was from Leytonstone, Essex.
Private Frederick Charles Northdale (276473) was killed in action on the 3th November 1917, aged 27. He was buried in the Gaza War Cemetery. Frederick was the son of George Northdale. He was married to Martha Helena Johnston (formerly Northdale), of "St. Lucien," 78, North View Drive, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex.
Private Frank Thomas Nye (4246) was killed in action on the 22nd August 1915, aged 20, on Gallipoli. He is remembered on the Helles Memorial. Frank was the son of Tom Alexander and Ada Harriett Nye, of 9, Wellington Rd., Forest Gate, London where he lived with his two sisters Dorothy and Esther and his three brothers, Harold, Douglas and Stanley.
