Psyche

The Stress Evaluator

Psyche aimed to address the problem of inefficient and inaccurate stress diagnosis in the medical field. The traditional methods of stress assessment, such as heart rate monitoring, were found to be limited in their accuracy. As a result, physicians faced challenges in providing proper treatment for their patients. The target audience for the Psyche project was the medical field, specifically physicians and psychiatric institutions. These stakeholders faced the challenge of diagnosing stress levels in their patients efficiently and accurately. The innovative solution offered by Psyche was a software integrated with the OpenBCI Ultracortex Mark IV device. This combination used brain activity to diagnose stress levels, providing a more accurate assessment compared to traditional methods. The impact of Psyche was the improvement of stress diagnosis in the medical field. By providing accurate and efficient assessments, medical professionals could better diagnose and treat their patients. This ultimately led to improved mental health outcomes for patients and reduced costs associated with traditional stress.
