How should I study for AP Psychology?

• Cognitively engage in review by explaining concepts in your own words, drawing connections between content and examples, and teaching others. Passive review (like simply skimming or rereading the textbook) is not effective for information acquisition.

• Take notes during direct instruction in class and review material consistently.

• Consciously read the textbook. Use the textbook to complete Guided Notes Packets in your own words. Refrain from copying others.

• Use Psych Center website with the Course Resources and specific unit tabs. Use the resources organized here to reinforce content, see concepts from an alternative explanation, and to learn more or develop connections to real-life examples.

  • Watch videos on Youtube

  • Go through digital flashcards

  • Use games to keep yourself engaged

  • Read articles and sites or have them read aloud to you

• Watch AP Classroom Daily Videos and complete Topic Questions, Progress Checks, and Quizzes.

• For unit exams, practice with the study guide posted to Canvas Modules.
