Rothrock State Forest Sites

Site Characteristics

Two sites were chosen within Rothrock State Forest for planting. Both sites are located on log landings from harvests that took place within the past 10-15 years. These sites are located ~480 meters above sea level, with southern facing aspects and slopes around 10%. Site preparation at these sites involved clearing low-lying grasses and thinning fast-growing shrubs such as blueberry and teaberry.
