Working Group Subcommittees

Joint Prosecution Team: USAO and local prosecutors collaborate to screen gun cases and determine the best prosecution strategy for each defendant.

Shooting Review Team: Patrol officers, investigators, federal agents, prosecutors, and probation/ parole officers work together to analyze violent crime and provide intelligence on targeted offenders.

Street Enforcement Team: Typically a violent crime response team and/or specialized unit

(e.g., gang squad or narcotics unit) that engages in daily crime reduction activities.

NIBIN Team: Supports prosecution efforts and strategic/tactical responses to gun crime by reviewing characteristics of gun cases and sharing intelligence on gun crime incidents linked via ballistics.

Chronic Violent Offender Team: Systematically identifies repeat violent offenders to proactively monitor and prioritize if arrested and prosecuted.
