Weir River Farm

The Weir River Farm, in Hingham, MA, shows off its colors on a humid August afternoon in 2022.

Brick House

I'm not a flower guy, and so I can't identify the yellow flowers appearing in fornt of this fine brick home, on a warm August afternoon in 2023.

Tree Swallow

This little fellow posed on my deck while taking a break from battling for possession of one of my bluebird boxes. I shot the photo from my dining room window. The swallow flew off after a few moments, and a donnybrook promptly ensued between him and a pair of bluebirds.

In a Pink Mood

An aquatic plant with tiny pink flowers, called Lavender Bladderwort, thrives in a shallow pond in Mason, NH. On this particular day, blossoming water lilies were also in abundance. I like the "Impressionistic" look of the image, and friends have made the same comparison.

Contoocook River Covered Bridge

I had shot a few photos of this bridge from the deck of my bass boat, using an iPhone, but on this October morning in 2023 I used a camera and tripod.

Biker

This Victorian home in Mont Vernon, NH, is beautiful in its own right. However, in May its huge rhododendron comes to life. Several motorcyclists rode by while I was photographing the scene, and I was fortunate to capture a nice image (IMHO) of this character riding by.

The Little White Church

Eaton Center, NH, is a tiny village just south of the White Mountains and near Lake Ossippee. A sign in front of its little church provides a phone number that one can dial to make appointments for weddings, baptisms, etc. Sadly, at the time I visited (April 2021), there was no evidence that regular Sunday services were being held there. I captured this image from the opposite side of Crystal Lake -- on which the church steeple is reflecting.

Dinghies

Colorful dinghies are aranged on a dock at the Hingham Maritime Center. I shot this photo on a warm June evening in 2024.

Hummingbird

I photographed this hummingbird as it approached a feeder at a friend's house. (June 2022)

Ivy

Ivy ornaments a window on an old barn situated on the Crocker Farm, which is now part of the Jewell Hill Reservation in Ashby, MA. I captured this image in October of 2020. Sadly, I've learned that the old barn was demolished soon afterward.

Cape Cod Cottage

A lone cottage on a private beach in Truro, MA, is close enough to Cape Cod Bay that one can hear waves lapping the shore. I captured this image in September of 2020, while staying nearby.

Sheep May Safely Graze

Sheep feed on a hillside in Mont Vernon, NH. I captured this image in late November of 2020. Although I had driven past this farm many times, I had never seen sheep grazing there previously. Nor have I seen them since. Perhaps they were on loan?

Birches Doing Yoga

Probably due to heavy snow, these three birch trees are listing to starboard in front of an antique store in West Townsend, MA. (February, 2024)

Holdenwood Story Book Cottage

This magical house in Shirley, MA, appeared to be unoccupied when I captured this image in June of 2020. The property has many "story book" figures and ornaments -- all of which seem to have been designed to captivate photographers. The cottage's story is written up on the Town of Shirley webpage.

As Above, So Below

An aquatic plant with tiny pink flowers, called Lavender Bladderwort, thrives in a shallow beaver pond in Mason, NH. Having first discovered this pond -- and its pink phenomena -- in the summer of 2019, I've visited it with camera gear in tow every year. I captured this image in July of 2022.

Kaleidoscope

Midwinter (Alternate)

Recent snow coats a classic New England home in New Boston, NH, in early February, 2022. As a photographer, I'm always happy to see that some folks leave their Christmas decorations up long after the season has passed.
