February is Black History Month

According to History.com, "Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of blacks in U.S. history." This means we take time in February to celebrate Black History because it is an important part of US history and to appreciate all that they have contributed to our world today.
