Promotion of Diversity and Inclusion is a key element of our organization’s strategy and culture to ensure that all members feel valued, supported, known, and trusted. Therefore, we commit ourselves to achieving a membership mix that reflects the diversity of trusted advisors in the regions we serve. Further, in keeping with ProVisors’ “Know, Like, Trust, Refer” values, we commit to placing DEI practices and mindset at the center of our active recruitment, group meetings, relationship building and referrals.
Diversity: We value the variety of traits, characteristics, and practices (gender, ethnicity, race, point of view, age, sexual orientation, ability and religion) that comprise one’s individual identity. ProVisors appreciates and welcomes diversity as essential to the development of its members’ relationships and professional opportunities.
Inclusion: We are committed to creating and maintaining an environment in which everyone feels respected, valued and welcome.
Each region’s D & I Committee will:
Offer group leaders and members opportunities to collaborate and enhance their own awareness of systemic, social, and economic inequities, so they can work toward a deeper understanding and build a membership that reflects the diversity in our communities.
Educate group leaders and members about the value of expanding our referral networks to include historically underrepresented, diverse groups. Collaborating with diverse communities drives more opportunity and commerce for all.
Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with diverse professional organizations (e.g., Black Lawyers Association, Asian American Bar Association, Hispanic CPA’s, National LGBT Bar Association (LGBT BAR)) and other relevant organizations to professions represented in ProVisors. This relationship building is part of an ongoing effort to reach and invite members of diverse communities into our network, and ensure that they will feel welcomed, inspired, and empowered to create relationships and mutually generate ongoing commerce.
