Wasco County Democrats are hosting this forum but all are invited. We have a very good chance to flip this seat this year, so make a plan to come and listen to the candidates.
People are already asking, when is the next NO KINGS. We don't have a date yet, but we're hearing that it'll likely be sometime in March of 2026.
In the meantime, we encourage you to find out more about civil resistance beyond protests. Here are a couple resources from Patrick Hiller, Ph.D., the guest speaker at our December POP meeting"

REGULAR EVENTS
Rally for the Resistance! Every Friday from Noon - 1:00 PM
POP gathers peacefully with other members of the Gorge Community every Friday during the lunch on the four corners of Union and 2nd Street in The Dalles (in front of the Post Office). This is a time to stand up for our democracy and inspire others to do the same. Make your own sign or use one that we have available.
Bridges and Brews! NOTE THE NEW TIME! Every Sunday from 3:00 - 4:00 PM
POP members gather on various local overpasses with a message for I-84 travelers appropriate for the week's events. Afterwards, those who wish to do so gather at a local pub for beverages and/or food. Please register for this team. No obligation to attend every week.
Monthly Meetings! Every 4th Tuesday from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
We've usually meet at Spooky's Pizza Parlour, but to make sure you have the latest information, be sure to sign up for our weekly newsletter. If you want to order food or a beverage, plan to come early around 5:30 and enjoy some social time before the meeting. Note that we'll have a combined NOV/DEC meeting on Wednesday Dec. 10.
Monthly Postcard Parties! Every 1st Monday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Meet at The Riv and enjoy time with like-minded POP members and friends as we write postcards to voters for a wide variety of candidates and causes. We supply everything you need. Just bring yourself.

OREGON DISTRICT 2 DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FORUM
SUNDAY NOVEMBER 9th at the Mid-Columbia Senior Center
Fed up with Cliff Bentz's failure to represent us? So are we! Fortunately, we have four great alternatives running in the Democratic primary for Cowardly Cliff's seat in Congress, and we invited them to come to The Dalles so we could meet them. We had a great turnout and were impressed with their talents and passion to do better for the people of District 2. Click on links below to visit the candidates' websites and learn more about each.
