Foster Care
Foster children are appointed a Guardian Ad Litem, but still have a right to have their own attorney.

SIJS/Asylum
According to US Citizenship and Immigrant Services, "If you are in the United States and need the protection of a juvenile court because you have been abused, abandoned, or neglected by a parent, you may be eligible for Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) status. If SIJ status is granted, you may qualify for lawful permanent residency (also known as getting a Green Card)."

Kinship Adoptions
When out of home placement is clearly not in the best interest of the child, we believe that kinship placement or adoptions is the next best consideration.
