Guides to the Amolen codes: what each code gives, how to redeem it and what to watch out for.
Applying a discount is only the first part of the transaction. Once EDC15 has taken 15% off your Simbye order and payment has gone through, the practical questions shift: where the eSIM lives, how to find it again, what happens if you change your mind, and what can no longer be undone. This guide covers the period after redemption.
Simbye emails the eSIM as a QR code as soon as payment is confirmed. That email is the primary delivery method, but it is not the only copy. The same QR code is available in two other places:
your Simbye customer account
the top-up page, by entering your order number
That redundancy matters if the email lands in spam or you change devices before travelling. Keep the order number somewhere separate from your inbox, because it is the key that unlocks the QR code without needing account access.
If QR scanning is not practical, Simbye also provides a manual install option using an SM-DP+ address and an activation code. This is the same profile delivered a different way, not a second purchase.
The customer account is where day-to-day management happens after redemption. Two functions are worth knowing:
Retrieving the QR code — useful if you need to reinstall or reference the profile details.
Topping up — additional data is added through the account or through the top-up page using your order number. No reinstall is required; the existing profile keeps working.
One point to check before you assume a saving: it is not stated whether EDC15 applies to top-up purchases. The code is documented as a discount code used at Shopify checkout, and whether a top-up transaction accepts it is something to verify on the site at the time rather than plan around.
Several clocks are worth tracking once the order is complete:
An uninstalled, unactivated eSIM stays valid for 180 days. Buying ahead of a trip is therefore workable within that window.
The data plan does not begin counting down until you arrive at the destination, so activation and consumption are separate from purchase date.
Validity periods run from 7 to 90 days on standard plans, and 30 to 365 days on custom multi-country builds of up to 10 countries and 5–50 GB.
On unlimited plans, a fair use policy allows 2GB of high-speed data per day, after which speeds are reduced until the next 24-hour cycle resets.
The daily throttle is not a fault and not grounds to treat the plan as faulty; it is the stated policy.
The refund rule is narrow and turns on a single condition: refunds are available only if the eSIM has not been installed or activated. Once the profile is on the handset or has been activated, that route closes.
The practical consequence is that any doubt should be resolved before you install. If you suspect the wrong destination, the wrong data size or the wrong validity, do not scan the QR code while you work it out. Installation is the point of no return for a refund claim.
Compatibility is a related risk. Simbye supports iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, and Google Pixel 3 and newer, and carrier-locked handsets can refuse eSIM profiles. Confirming your device accepts the profile is worth doing early, but note that the act of attempting installation is itself an installation.
Shopify checkouts do not retroactively apply discount codes. If EDC15 was not entered in the discount field on the right-hand order summary — collapsed under a "Show order summary" toggle on mobile — and confirmed as a discount line before payment, the 15% cannot be added to the completed order. Shopify also generally accepts one code per order, so EDC15 will not stack with another code.
Whether EDC15 combines with sale pricing is not stated and should be checked on site.
The knowledge available here does not state Simbye's support channels, response times or a formal cancellation procedure beyond the refund condition above. For anything outside self-service account functions, contact details on simbye.com are the appropriate reference point.
